howling pipework annex pipework
location, breakfast and room met expectations. staff were very nice and pleasant.
the pipework in the annex howled whenever someone flushed a toilet. this led to instances during the night when the pipes roared. it sounded like an oceanliner was approaching.

Wonderful Sea View and Friendly Service
sea view helpful staff cheerful service
The room at the front offered a beautiful sea view. I enjoyed watching the estuary and the Dawlish Warren area from my window. The staff members were cheerful and helpful . They worked hard and nothing seemed like too much trouble.
I found a lack of available plug sockets in the room.

big room comfortable beds dog-friendly policy street parking overgrown gardens
The Double Room was nice and big I found the beds comfortable. The shower was quite good too I also appreciated the dog-friendly policy.
Parking on the street was a problem I found. The front gardens looked overgrown and frankly unkempt. Evening meals were not available at the hotel either so I had to go into town.

friendly staff fresh breakfast bathroom suite shower taps
the staff displayed friendliness and provided helpful service. the breakfast offered fresh items and a nice presentation..
the bathroom suite looked not durable, which presented a challenge. i found operating the shower taps difficult without stepping into the bath first.

a mixed experience.
stained carpet difficult parking
the receptionist was friendly.
the room i was in felt quite neglected. the carpet had several noticeable stains, and the furniture seemed old and worn, especially in the bathroom. plus, finding parking nearby was a real struggle. we ended up walking quite a distance with our luggage.
